The Foundation is committed to the fulfillment of its mission to provide funding to advance and enrich the auction community. The Board of Trustees has identified its priority objectives as research, education and public relations.
To achieve those objectives, the Foundation has committed to supporting through direct funding, sponsorship, or administration of the following programs:
Annual Industry Research:
Each year the Foundation partners with NAA to fund a comprehensive independent industry survey to document and report industry-wide market trends. The resulting information is distributed to the NAA membership for use within their own businesses and it is used extensively in support of public relations and media inquiries.

The National Auctioneers Museum:
Housed within the NAA headquarters, the museum is open to all auction professionals as well as the public. The museum provides a permanent and secure archive for an extensive (and growing) collection of vintage photos, documents, auction videos, audio recording, and memorabilia. The museum not only preserves the rich history of the auction industry but also serves as an invaluable resource for industry information and research. In addition to the physical exhibits, a web based ‘virtual museum’ is currently in the planning stages of development. For more details, click here.
Keynote Speakers:
NAF is proud to sponsor high caliber, nationally recognized Keynote Speakers for the Opening Session at each NAA annual Conference and Show.
Scholarships:
NAF administers and manages the funds for two Certified Auctioneers Institute scholarship programs.
- The Larry McCool Scholarship was established in 2006 and provides tuition assistance to qualified auctioneers to attend Course I of the Certified Auctioneers Institute.
- The Pat Massart Scholarship for Leaders was also established in 2006 and is awarded to recognize outstanding leadership of a CAI Course III student.

Recorded Interviews with Industry Leaders:
NAF maintains a library of audio and video recorded interviews with Auction industry leaders. Each year at Conference and Show we add to our extensive collection. This recorded history is perhaps one of our greatest treasures and resource. Click here to view our catalog of interviews and access the recordings.
