The National Auctioneers Foundation Board of Trustees presents the following slate of candidates for the 2020/2021 Board of Trustees to the membership. The slate will appear on the electoral ballot with the NAA Directors that will be distributed to members electronically beginning July 3. Ballots must be returned by 2 p.m. CDT on Thursday, July 16, 2020.
In order to be an officer of the Foundation’s Trustees, individuals must have served at least two of their three year term. In order to have been a candidate for the Trustees, individuals must:
- Be a current member in good standing of the National Auctioneers Foundation and have been a member of the National Auctioneers Foundation for five (5) consecutive years, or
- Be a past National Auctioneers Association Board Member, having served a full three (3)- year-term.
Individuals who wish to serve contacted members of the current Trustees and were asked to submit an application and avail themselves for an interview. Trustees are looking for individuals who are committed to the mission of the Foundation and who have strong fundraising experience.
The Trustees are recommending the following slate of candidates (one officer position and three Trustees to replace those retiring from the Board):

Jennifer Gableman, CAI, ATS: Gableman has served on the Foundation Board of Trustees since 2018
Merle Booker, CAI, GPPA. This will be a second, three-year term for Booker.
Megan McCurdy Neidens, CAI, BAS: an IAC champion from 2013 and COO of McCurdy Auctions in Wichita, KS; Neidens also works as a fundraising auctioneer. She is a past president of the Kansas Auctioneers Association
Ruth Lind, CAI, AARE, BAS, GPPA: has served in several volunteer capacities within the NAA including as Ambassador and on the Conference and Show Oversight Committee. As a member of Tranzon, Lind focuses much of her business on the sale of real estate but also works as a fundraising auctioneer. She is a past president of the Maine Auctioneers Association.
